Late last year, sixteen-year-old Australian surfers Kai Hing and Jacob Willcox, along with surf filmmaker Dylan Roberts, travelled over to France for two weeks. They were there for an international junior surfing competition, but also to collect surf footage for upcoming projects. It was their first time to France and the environment and culture was a new and amazing experience.
Overcast weather and fog blanketed the cool mornings until the sun would appear mid morning, bringing hot temperatures and sunny skies. Each day they would wake up early in the morning before sunrise, pack the van with their gear and go searching for waves. In between competing the boys surfed a variety of fun beach breaks, which litter the coastline.
In between filming Dylan Roberts captured some beautiful photographs of the trip.
