O'Neill Presents a Global Innovation and Art Tour Curated by Monster Children
Posted By Kieran – 14.02.2012
The most iconic name in the surf industry is celebrating its 60th year of operation and innovation with a global art tour curated by Monster Children.
Starting in Sydney on March 15th, art work by Thomas Campbell, Geoff McFetridge, Mark Penxa, Jim Phillips Jnr, Tim Chapman and Liam Gerrard, along with a plethora of O'Neill memorabilia will be exhibited in a global art and innovation tour. The exhibition will travel through Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America, with the final exhibition being seen in Santa Cruz at the O'Neill Cold Water Classic WT surf event in November.
O'Neill and Monster Children want aspiring artists to be involved and are inviting the public to submit your artistic interpretations of founder, Jack O'Neill. The best six received will be exhibited along side the art works at the Sydney exhibition. Every region will invite locals to this competition, but for now Australian and New Zealand artists head to www.60yearsofinnovation.tumblr.com for a reference image and upload your images of final artwork to oneillart@monsterchildren.com with you age, location of residence and website/blog (if applicable).
Exhibition opens in Sydney, 6pm Thursday 15th March, The Old Paramount Building, 80 Commonwealth St, Surry Hills.

Phoebe Collings-James: Pleasure Pieces
Opening reception: Saturday, May 19th, 6-8pm
The coming of spring stirs desire. Satisfying desire is the pursuit of pleasure. In pleasure, ecstasy occurs; beyond ecstasy - exaltation. Pain is considered, as is sacrifice. Solace is found in the unknown.
Phoebe Collings-James (b.1987, London) is the 4th artist to participate in the Still House residency program.
