If you have no plans this weekend and are in Sydney or Perth, Boris from Japan are in town. They will be playing their cult classic album from 2000 Flood from start to finish, plus other material from their extensive catalog. Apparently Melbourne went off last night, and there are still tickets available for Sydney and Perth. All the details are on Handsome Tours site.

TOY
Posted By Lucille - 19.06.2013

Last night TOY wowed a capacity crowd with their psychedelic rock sound at Oxford Art Factory. The exclusive show was apart of Bulmers Underground, a new music platform created to support up and coming British Talent.

TOY is a carefully crafted kaleidoscope whirl of basslines, entrancing muted beats and epic choruses that explode seemingly from nowhere. Much fuzzier than Deerhunter, more jam-inclined than The Horrors and far lighter than Slowdive if you haven’t heard their debut album I highly suggest listening to it now. TOY Soundcloud

My pick of the bunch: Left myself Behind

CHVRCHES

New favorite Scottish group! Caught these guys last night at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. It was horrible having to go to Brooklyn (God hates Brooklyn), but these guys made it worth the while. They’re on a 17-date US tour right now (including Lane Way Detroit), and after that they’re going to Sweden I think? Check here for deets. If you get the chance to see these guys–see these guys.
