New Gear from HEX

New Gear from HEX
Posted By Jason – 30.06.2012

HEX has just released a 15-piece collection of bags and sleeves for all your bits ‘n bobs, and it’s called Academy. They do great stuff, HEX, and the new range is no exception. These bags not only look good, they’re also wonderfully functional and they protect your stuff from everyday wear and tear, even if your ‘everyday wear and tear’ means getting dragged down the freeway behind a van. HEX has you covered; it’s tough stuff. Speaking of HEX–and spell casting in general–some friends and I actually put a hex on a co-worker once. Her name was Mandy and she was a complete pain in the butt. Isn’t that always the way? No matter where you go or what you do, there is always one total prick that ruins the perfect situation. We’d had enough of Mandy, and we decided to solicit the aid of…Satan? I guess Satan. Who runs voodoo and all that stuff? Is it Satan? Anyway, we decided put a hex on Mandy because she was a meddling, moronic, sycophantic slut–pardon my French. Nothing lethal, we didn’t want to hurt her, we just wanted her to go away and not come back. The four of us got together after work one night (the four people who hated Mandy enough to meet up after work and perform witchcraft), and we had a few beers around the kitchen table. This was at…I wanna say Linda’s apartment? It was years ago; I can’t remember everyone’s name. I do remember that it was me, another dude, and two girls. The girls came up with hex idea in the first place, that’s what girls do. Anywho, we had some beers, talked some shit, and then we did all this weird stuff with candles and bits of paper with ‘Mandy’ written on them. We held hands and chanted ‘Hex’ over and over. Then we burnt the bits of paper and blew out the candles. Then we drank each other’s urine. Just made that last bit up. Miraculously, Mandy was gone within a single week. She quit and she went home to whatever Midwestern town she came from–Mole Head City, I think she said.

Point of the story: HEX is good!

Punch The Camera: Issue 3
Posted By Laura - 18.06.2013

Punch The Camera is a bi-annual photography zine inspired by adventure, exploration, and open spaces. All things I personally am a big fan of. For the latest issue of the zine put together by Justin Parkhurst, I was lucky enough to be one of the photographers featured alongside Foster Huntington, John Kilar, Justin Parkhurst, Jim Mangan, Kevin Trageser, and Bryan Schutmaat. If you want a little taste of the wanderlust evoked by this book of photos you should pick up yourself  a copy right here.

Got this in the mail this morning...
Posted By Paige - 18.06.2013

Dear Paige,
I don't normally send mails out of nowhere and you might find it strange but i saw your post on the monster children site of the butthole bungalow and I liked it a lot.  You tought it must be somewhere in europe and you're right. The butthole bungalow is build on The Verbeke Foundation. I know it well because it's about 10 minutes from my house. (I live in Belgium in a small village near Ghent called Moerbeke - Waas)
It's a private art site but everyone is welcome. As a ‘refuge of arts’ the domain offers chances to young / less renowned artists and holds an impressive collection of modern and contemporary art. Culture, nature and ecology go hand in hand in the Verbeke Foundation.
The funny thing about the butthole bungalow is that it's being used as a bed and breakfast and i've had to admit it's cosy.
Kindly regards,
Quincey

thanks man!
