Following on from the video posted below about Issue 30's feature on Mike Mills and his new movie 'Beginners,' be sure to get on to these tickets asap if you want to see a preview of the film as well as hear a Q and A with Mike after the movie. Sydney only by the looks of things, but I could be wrong.

Too many emails and phone calls yesterday made me completely forget about paying my condolences to one of my favourite artists of all time, Cy Twombly, who passed away in Rome less that 48 hours ago. The Guardian has a nice piece worth reading, as well as this one over at The New York Times.

Malls Across America

Later this week you will be able to get your mits on Issue 31 of Monster Children. Inside this issue (spoiler alert) is a little feature on photography by Michael Galinsky from 1989, throughout many malls across America. Around about this time Billy Ray Cyrus was just about to come on the scene and there is a direct correlation between this and the proliferation of mullets. Usually we keep our content quiet until it drops, but in this case, we are making an exception because Michael has around 60 hours to get a measly $400 extra to self publish his book. All you have to do is donate what you can here and you get a signed book at the very least. Dig deep.

One of the nicest men I have had the pleasure of meeting while doing this rag of a magazine. Mr Ryan Allan. Now has a new site up with all his kick ass photos. The photo of Geoff on those shipping containers is one of my all-time favourite photos.
