All work by Pat Hines using MS Paint
Remember the first time you logged on to the family PC and got your filthy paws on the spray can icon?
An hour in and it was like, Banksy who, know what I mean? Those were the days. But what if I told you not only that those days are still present tense for a Boston illustrator who specializes in Microsoft Paint, but that he’s really, really good at it? Like, way better than you or Banksy. His name is Pat Hines, and he’s spent the last 10 years illustrating his ebook using Paint. Seriously.
Bored Panda somehow discovered his unexpected genius, and now his eBook, Camp Redblood And The Essential Revenge, is doing the rounds. Apparently Hines wasn’t any good at Photoshop, and couldn’t be bothered trying to get any better at it, so he just decided to stick with what he knew, which was the elementary-level art program. “I honed my craft working long overnights at a hospital reception desk”, he says.
They may have been some long nights, but it looks as though they paid off, Pat.
Mind, meet blown.
