Mixed Feelings: a solo show by artist Nathan Bell

Subliminal Projects is presenting “Mixed Feelings”, the first solo show by LA based artist and designer Nathan Bell.

From the images we’ve seen the show will look like Bell’s sketchbook exploded in a very organized manner. The preview images show over 400 pieces of 6×6” white french paper pinned to the gallery walls. The pages are filled with a diversity of stark black drawings. The work that is presented ranges from humorous wordplay to simplified drawings influenced by iconography to commentary on the American politics… cause that’s on everybody’s mind these days.
Bell spent the last 2 years compiling the work, that until it was installed in the gallery was pinned to the walls of his Chinatown Studio.

The show is supported by the good folks at Vans and opens Saturday April 22 8-11pm. You can RSVP or if you miss the opening you can catch the show until May 20th.
