There’s a 10-Episode Gorillaz TV Series on its Way

In a few short weeks, Gorillaz will be releasing the much anticipated Humanz album.

Until then, here’s a few little juicy tidbits that the band members have recently let slip. In an interview with Zane Lowe earlier this week, Damon Albarn mentioned that even after the massive output of 20 songs on the new album (26 if you get the deluxe edition), he’s still got around 40-45 tracks leftover. What he’ll end up doing with them is anyone’s guess. Thanks to the recently released track listing, we can see that Gorillaz have teamed up with an impressive roster of musicians including Grace Jones, Noel Gallagher, De La Soul, Kali Uchis, Mavis Staples and Pusha T. But they’ve just revealed who refused to take part: Dionne Warwick, Morrissey and Sade.

Hewlett has also said in an interview with Q Magazine that he’s got a Gorillaz TV series in the works. While the only information that’s been released so far is that it will be 10-episodes long, if their recently released 360 VR video below is anything to go by, it’s going to be pretty damn good.

The Humanz album is out 28th April, stay tuned.
