Fender Release New Bass With a Legendary Collab

Fender made this pretty little beauty of a guitar and it’ll make even you sound good.

The Flea Bass Guitar is a Fender collaboration with a man who needs no introduction, but we’ll give him one anyway- innovator and bassist for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Flea.

Part of the Fender Signature Series, it’s a recreation of Flea’s Shell Pink ’61 Jazz Bass that he was given by a fan, and used to record some of the Peppers all-time great albums. The offset alder body and lacquer finish is a perfect replica of the original and the 4 bolt neck plate is finished off with engraved artwork by the Flea himself.

The video, shot by Flea’s daughter at his Malibu home, gives you a sneak peek into why we love this mad man. Check out Flea jamming in a bee keeper suit, then go have a look at the thing in all it’s beauty right here, or click here to find out where you can get one yourself.
