I knew it was going to be a good day when I woke this morning and there was no barkin’ from the dog, no smog and momma cooked a breakfast with no hog. I rolled to work, scoring every green light from my joint to the office. Having a lil’ extra time up my sleeve, I decided to hit the local coffee shop for my daily bean injection. I ordered a large cup of ‘get shit done’, reached into my wallet to pull out a fiver and my coffee club loyalty card to pay for my drink, and lo and behold, I had a accumulated enough stamps for a free cup of coffee! Good start. Then off to MC HQ I buzzed.
I swear someone must have written on the back of a public cubical door once whilst taking a snap, “For a good time, email Lincoln at Monster Children all your shitty selfie pole footage from that time you drove your elderly grandmother, who has IBS, to Coffs Harbour for her annual Hogan’s Heros Seminar.”
Riffling through my morning emails, my expectations were low. To my pleasant surprise, sitting pretty at the top of my email stack was a subject heading: ‘Adidas Skateboarding Team in Namibia’. “Hallelujah!” I cried, as I spun around on my office chair, pumping a fist in the air. I knew it was going to be a good day.
